Hi Dan, Im new to ubuntu. its been getting better as i upgrade and must say liking it. My rig is in the shop, i7 ,X85,166 mem, think the bios chip fryed any how , parted this duron togeather and had this OS disk and said what the hell. good luck Paul

Noo.... I agree... this specific article was good. My point was that he has a history of needling specific, easily agitated, communities. Ask any apple fanboy if they like him, even though he has stated that he uses Macs.

The "linux/ubuntu/community sucks/is useless/" article is coming. And thats fine. I'm just saying, we should be expecting it.

I didn't think anything he wrote was inaccurate or inflammatory. It was a very complimentary review of Ubuntu which contained specific suggestions that businesses try it out, and a personal vote of confidence was given when he said he prefers it for his own machines. Great review, and I'd hope a harbinger of many more to come from the mainstream press. (It won't hurt if we actually get our act together artistically and make an Ubuntu release that screams fashion and beauty!)

Hi Dan,

I guess the answer to your question "Who should be targeted..." is pretty much every one who has influence. Clearly one letter to one minister (even if they are at the top so to speak) won't move a mountain. But continuous contact, advocating the many benefits (as opposed to just the money), with everyone involved is - IMHO the way to go about this.

So I'm trying to encourage people to think about some good messages and take them to whoever will listen :-)
